The TRUTH

So many myths have been perpetuated about the Romani that we  feel obliged to take this oppprtunity to dispel as many as we are able to do so.

 So here goes:

We ARE NOT dirty, unclean, thieves, prostitutes, liars, idiots or socially depraved.

However, we ARE clean, honest, law-abiding, warm ,family orientated, artists, entertainers, talented indivduals and fine horsemen.

WE DO NOT CURSE FOR THE DEEDS  CURSE OR COMMEND THE DEALER but

WE DO LIVE, LOVE AND ARE LOYAL TO OUR DIEING BREATH AND ARE FOREVER ROMANI.

We would like to clarify our position regards the JOURNEY FOLKI site.
 We at ROMANI ROOTS are not affiliated to or involved in the adminstration of the JF site. We are aware that a number of our members are also members of this site and we unconcerned by this as it in no way reflects negatively on ourselves or our members. 
 We do appreciate that the previous administration/ management of this site has been removed and their priveledges and membership withdrawn. However, due to the negative legacy left by previous events and persons, it has been deceided that ROMANI ROOTS will not give permission for its banner, nor be affiliated to this site. This decision was in no way intended to reflect,in a derrogative manner,on the members of JF or those mutual members of both sites. 
 We have made this decision after much consideration and in order to safeguard our organisation, website, contributers and our members -  who are our major concern, and whose interests we must protect.

 I would like to clarify my position regards this JF site and it's management/administration. As some may be aware I originally returned to this site ONLY to remove my own and Shahnees' posts and contributions. However, I could not in good conscience, restrict this facility to ourselves only. Therefore I offered to remove all posts and contributions from any concerned parties whilst doing my own.
 Whilst doing this I was approached by the owner, Wylie, and asked if I would continue in an Adminstration/Moderation capacity on this site and I REFUSED. 
 I have no wish to retain ANY ROLE or POSITION within this site as I did not return for that reason and, due to the difficulties resulting from this site and its previous administration, I do not wish to be associated in any role other then MEMBER.
 I will remain in a 'helper' capacity ONLY AND UNTIL a new management/administration has been found. I was asked to suggest who might be suitable for this position, however all those who may be suitable are either already committed to other projects or like myself do not wish to be involved.
 I do hope that I have now fully clarified my position and that all members understand that this decision is in no way intended as a negative comment or in any way to cause offence towards JF members.
